Boat Trips from Lazure Marina, Herceg Novi — Private Sailing for Hotel Guests

Staying at Lazure Hotel & Marina in Meljine and wondering what to do beyond the spa and the beach bar? The private sailing yacht Sheddi is berthed in Lazure Marina itself, a few minutes on foot from the hotel. Sunset cruises, swim stops at Mamula and the Blue Cave, and full-day trips to Perast and Kotor all start right at the marina pontoons — no transfer, no shared excursion boat, just your group and the captain.

Sheddi is moored in Lazure Marina — no transfer needed

Lazure Marina sits directly below the hotel buildings in Meljine, at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor. Sheddi, a 12.5 m sailing yacht, is berthed on the marina pontoons, so the meeting point is a short walk from reception: no taxi to Herceg Novi, Tivat or Kotor, and no waiting for a group boat to fill up.

Sheddi is an independent private charter based at the marina; it is not operated by the hotel. You book directly with the captain, who confirms the exact berth and meeting time with your reservation.

Three ways to spend time on the water from the marina

Sunset cruise (2–3 hours): the most popular choice for hotel guests. Leave the marina in the late afternoon, sail past the Savina and Topla waterfront toward the bay entrance, watch the light turn gold over Mamula island and Luštica, and be back for dinner.

Half day with swimming (3–4 hours): cross to the Luštica peninsula, anchor off Žanjic or Mirišta, snorkel at the Blue Cave when the sea is calm, and circle the fortress island of Mamula.

Full day in the Bay of Kotor (6–8 hours): sail deep into the bay to Perast and the islet church of Our Lady of the Rocks, see the walls of Kotor from the water, and swim in a quiet cove on the way back.

What you see within an hour of Lazure Marina

Meljine is one of the best-placed starting points in the bay: the fortress island of Mamula is about 30 minutes away, the coves and the Blue Cave of Luštica about 45 minutes, and the open Adriatic lies just beyond the bay entrance. From Kotor or Tivat the same places take two to three times longer to reach.

On the way out you pass the cypress grove of Savina Monastery, the old town of Herceg Novi with Forte Mare and Kanli Kula, and the Igalo waterfront — the classic view of the town that is only visible from the sea.

Fits a hotel day: spa in the morning, sea in the afternoon

Most Lazure guests book the boat after a slow breakfast or a morning at the spa and the hotel beach. A departure around 16:00–17:00 gives you the calmest water, the best light, and a return to the marina in time for dinner at the hotel restaurants or in Herceg Novi.

The yacht suits couples, families with children (life jackets in children’s sizes are on board), and small groups of up to six guests. No sailing experience is needed; the captain handles the boat while you relax.

Getting to Lazure Marina if you are not a hotel guest

Lazure Marina & Hotel is at Braće Pedišića 10, Meljine, about 2 km east of Herceg Novi old town. The Pet Danica seaside promenade links the marina with the town centre — roughly a 30-minute walk or a 5-minute taxi ride — and there is parking at the marina.

From Tivat Airport the drive is about 20 km via the Kamenari ferry; from Dubrovnik about 45 km across the border. Guests staying in Igalo, Herceg Novi, Zelenika or Kumbor can reach the marina in a few minutes by car.
